I first purchased a new Guzzi Le Mans in January 1977 after seeing one for the first time in a Douglas street at the Isle of Man TT races the year before.

I seem to remember that it cost me around £2,000 back then and I only kept it for a year before exchanging it for a black/gold Ducati SD 900 Darmah.

The Le Mans that I have just aquired was first registered in June 1977 so not long after my original bike!
